Middle School Improv and Social Confidence Class
This 2018 Winter class will be held at Discovery Middle School on Wednesday afternoons from February 7- April 4 with the possibility of a final 'show' on our last class.
This will depend on the intentions and desires of the tribe.
This unique acting group will be diving into creativity and performing arts through a social study and lighthearted approach. We will create skits (think Saturday Night Live), play with improv exercises (think Whose Line is it Anyway?), and pull apart our own definitions of social archetypes while we build awareness and connect to our hearts. We will look at 'who we are' and 'what stops our creative aliveness' and then work to free it in ourselves and our ensemble.
We enroll a maximum of 16 students (and a minimum of 6 students) in this class to encourage participation and contribution. We are all in this together and our ensemble becomes a solid support system to stretch beyond the fear of failure or looking silly. This is how we build the muscle of inner trust and creative confidence. All levels welcome.
In full acceptance, we applaud our creativity!!
Call us with any questions-This class is a super fun and safe way to explore our deep creative nature!!
